Path To Purpose Internship Program

Path to Purpose is a countywide high school internship initiative designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience. Developed in partnership with the Sonoma County Office of Education, the program provides equitable access to high-quality internships for high school juniors and seniors in Sonoma County.

Program Basics

  • Who it's for: High school juniors and seniors in Sonoma County
  • Internship length: 50+ hours over the Spring semester
  • College credit: Internships are eligible for college credit - WEE 99I
  • Cost to students: Free to apply and participate

How It Works

  • One application, multiple opportunities: Students apply once and are considered for a range of internship placements
  • Customized matching: Placements are based on student interests, availability, and career goals — not simply first-come, first-served
  • Spring semester timing: Internships run during the school year
  • Equity-focused: Designed to remove barriers so all students have access to high-quality opportunities
